It's Eurovision weekend. Here in Australia, that's Friday-Sunday, not Thursday-Saturday as it is for Europe itself. Which means devoted fans have to spend much of Sunday morning avoiding all internet/scrolling news-bars/social functions etc just on the off-chance someone may spoil who won, who got nil points, etc

Okay, so viewers of 30 Rock may be familiar with the phrase EGOT, used to describe the select list of individuals who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.

The next day. Monday morning on the 8:10am from West Footscray. A Vietnamese woman wears a poorly fitting t-shirt reading “special gorgeous fantastic”, which for a second I read as “specious gorgon robot fantasy”. I think I’d like a t-shirt saying that.
